Techies during the procession of ‘IT Bonalu’ held by TITA in full gusto on Saturday in Madhapur.

Hyderabad: IT employees on Saturday celebrated Bonalu festival held by Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) in Madhapur in full gusto in Madhapur. Techies offered IT Bonalu to the residing deity at ‘Chinna Peddammathalli temple near Google in Kondapur.

Home Minsiter Nayini Narasihma Reddy along with his party’s MP Balka Suman, Government Whip, MLA Gongadi Sunitha and others participated in the celebrations. The celebrations started with the procession which started from Shilparamam and culminated at Chinna Peddammathalli temple near Google office with MLA Sunitha taking the first Bonam as MP Balka Suman placed on her head. IT employees, attired in their best with carrying the beautifully decorated ‘IT Bonams’ on their heads, offered them at the temple in Kondapur.

Minister said it was happy for him that IT employees celebrating the state festival traditionally with gaiety. Techies said they had been celebrating Bonalu festival for two years representing the culture and traditions of the sate.

The celebrations were also attended by Corporators Jagadishwar Goud, Ragam Nagendar Yadav, TITA president Sandeep Mukhtala and several employees from IT industry.
