Teachers Meet YS Jagan, Want Contributory Pension Scheme To Go
Leader of the Opposition and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's Praja Sankalpa Yatra is getting unprecedented welcome in Chittoor district. All sections of the society are meeting YS Jagan to pour out their woes. YS Jagan is giving them a patient hearing and is assuring them that he would solve their problems once the YSRCP comes to power.
On Saturday, delegations of various teachers unions met YS Jagan during his yatra in Tamballapalli Assembly constituency. They said the contributory pension scheme, being put in place by Chandrababu Naidu, was useless. They wanted the old pension scheme to be revived. The municipal teachers said that though they have been working for the past several decades, they are not getting the minimum salaries. They said that during the 2014 elections, Chandrababu Naidu had assured to regularise the contract teachers. But, once the elections were over, he reneged on the promise, they said.
Consoling them, YS Jagan said that a people's government would be formed in just one year and assured to solve all their problems.
