Teacher booked for sexual advances on girl

A case has been registered against a teacher for his sexual advances towards a girl studying ninth standard.
The villagers ransacked the school and damaged furniture demanding action against the teacher. Teacher Vidyasagar of G Vemavaram zilla parishad High school in I Polavaram mandal of East Godavari district was harassing the girl for some time with his indecent behavior. The girl informed the parents about his sexual advances on Monday.
The irated relatives of the girl attacked the school. The district administration suspended the teacher and DEO Srinivasa Reddy issued orders to this effect. I Polavaram police registered a case against Vidyasagar and took him into custody.
