TDP worried as BJP leader slams AP capital hurry

In a statement that could surely embarrass the ruling TDP in Andhra Pradesh, senior BJP leader and national general secretary P Muralidhar Rao questioned the need to trouble farmers for the construction of AP capital.

Speaking at Chennai on Monday, Rao, said the BJP will not cooperate if the capital city formation puts the lives of the farmers in jeopardy. He felt the state government should take everyone into confidence while constructing the capital.

These comments, coming as they are from TDP’s ally BJP, assume significance and are sure to put the TDP in a spot, especially on a day when the Singapore experts submitted their plan for constructing the capital of AP.
