TDP ‘Uses’ KCR To Woo Velamas In Andhra Pradesh

Telangana Chief Minister KCR shares space with Chandrababu on TDP posters in AP - Sakshi Post

Everyone in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana knows they are arch rivals, if not bitter enemies. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his Telangana counterpart K. Chandrasekhar Rao might have shared space on formal occasions here and there in years, but were never featured on a same poster for reasons very well known. And we know who the accused in the infamous 'note-for-vote' case, are.

But they can go to any extent to take political mileage. Days after Chandrababu and KCR met at the wedding of minister Paritala Sunitha's son in Anantapur, TDP leaders wanted to take advantage of the occasion and they featured the Telangana CM on their posters on 'Intintiki TDP' program in Velamavaripalem village of Ballikurava Mandal in Prakasam district.

This poster was put up to welcome Gottipati Ravi Kumar who was visiting the village to take part in the ‘Intintiki TDP’ outreach program. KCR was the special attraction on the poster along side TDP founder late NTR and CM Chandrababu Naidu and it attracted many eyeballs.

It was obvious that the sole reason for the TDP to project KCR on its poster could be only to woo Velamas who are in good numbers in the village. The TRS supremo is reported to have a huge support base among the Velama community in AP.
