TDP Trying To Whittle Down Boat Capsize Probe: Vasireddy Padma

The YSRCP on Tuesday charged the TDP Government with trying to shield the culprits in the tragic boat capsize in Krishna river. It said efforts were on to reduce the the probe to a mere formality

Speaking to mediapersons party spokespersons Vaisreddy Padma and Naramalli Padmaja slammed MP JC Diwakar Reddy for criticising YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and pointed out that he was doing this to win favours from Chandrababu Naidu. They said that Chandrababu Naidu Government was now trying the dilute the issue. "The ruling TDP has been trying to shield the persons responsible for the incident. Chandrababu Naidu, who claims that he knows the exact location of each LED bulb which is glowing in the state, says he is unaware that unlicensed boats were ferrying tourists in Krishna River. We demand an impartial inquiry," they said.

They also pointed out that there were allegations that a minister from Guntur was involved in the boat scam. They said the comments of JC Diwakar Reddy and other TDP leaders stem from their fear of the impact of the tremendous response to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Praja Sankalpa Yatra.
