TDP Taking Credit For Central Works: BJP
Vijayanagaram: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is taking credit for the works undertaken by the Central government in Andhra Pradesh, BJP MLC Somu Veeraju said.
Speaking at a BJP meeting in Pedamerangi in Jiyammavalasa mandal, here on Sunday, he said though the TDP is in alliance with the BJP it is taking undue credit for the funds and welfare programmes being implemented in the state. "All the funds being spent on welfare programmes were given by the Central government, whereas the TDP government is taking credit. The state government should release a white paper on the Central funds received and spent," he said.
The BJP leader gave examples to support his statements. "The NTR Jalasira scheme is non-existent. Solar pump sets given by the Central government are shown by the state officials as NTR Jalasira scheme. Similarly, the state government has not allocated a single rupee under the Chandranna Bhima scheme. Funds amounting to Rs 170 crore shown in the Chandranna Bhima scheme were given the Modi government. Chief minister Chandrababu is giving a title of NTR to every scheme introduced by the Central government and claiming it as his own project," Veeraju said.
