‘TDP Spent Rs 200 Crore To Win Nandyal Bypoll’

Kurnool: YSR Congress Party leader and MLA Isaiah said Chandrababu Naidu has spent Rs 200 crore to win the by-election in Nandyal Assembly Constituency. Besides, Chandrababu has misused power and intimidated the voters, he said.

Speaking to the media in Kurnool on Wednesday, the YSR Congress leader said Bhuma Nagi Reddy was given utmost priority but the latter had ditched the party for TDP. He held Chandrababu responsible for the untimely death of Nagi Reddy and said Bhuma died only because Chandrababu had insulted him by not making him a minister. The YSR Congress would not have fielded a candidate had Bhuma Nagireddy resigned from the MLA post and recontested on TDP ticket.

Chandrababu has also cheated the people of Nandyal by not providing adequate compensation to the owners of houses that were demolished as part of the road-widening. The Election authorities also did not take action against the TDP for luring the voters with money.
