TDP's falling reputation worries Chandrababu - Sakshi Post

TDP chief Chandrababu is a worried man these days. He is going all out to regain the confidence of the people. He recently held a meeting with senior leaders of TDP to decide on the strategies to be followed on the Telangana issue.

The buzz is that Chandrababu's 'Atma Gourava' Bus Yatra failed to evoke any response. Thus when his much-hyped yatra failed to woo people, Naidu is on the look out for other convincing gimmicks.

Now the discussion among the TDP leaders is that Chandrababu is planning to contest both for Lok Sabha and MLA posts. It is learnt that he has decided to contest from Khammam for Lok Sabha and as the usual Kuppam for MLA.

Initially, Chandrababu had decided to contest from Serilingampally constituency in Ranga Reddy and from Kuppam in the General elections next year. In case he won both the seats, he was planning to resign from one seat and field his son Lokesh in the by-polls. This would be idea if the state was to be divided.

However, the recent surveys by TDP suggested that even if the state was divided or remained united there is no chance for TDP to come to power. Thus Chandrababu has decided to contest for Lok Sabha seat to maintain his image. It is being said that Nama Nageswara Rao who is a candidate for Khammam Lok Sabha seat will be shifted to Paleru Assembly constituency.

On Friday, Chandrababu once again met his party leaders to discuss all these issues and also about the future course of action to get visibility for TDP in the state.

Political observers feel that Naidu has lost credibility and confidence among people. So the TDP chief is trying hard to get back his position in AP. But what he doesn't realise is that Naidu can't achieve that unless he clearly spells out his stand on the Telangana issue (Either Samaikyandhra or Telangana state).

Considering he's planning to project Lokesh as the face of his party, is Naidu willing to take that risk?

It now remains to be seen if Naidu wants power for himself or is content seeing his son in politics. Stay tuned, we will bring you all the political gossip.
