TDP Resorts to Massive Poaching Despite Being in Power - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is continuing its poaching of MLAs from the opposition party YSRCP despite being in power in the State.

As the State is heading for the Assembly session, the TDP has also increased the number of defections into the party. It is alleged in political circles that the TDP has offered anywhere between Rs. 20 crore to Rs. 30 crore to each employee to switch sides. Besides money, the TDP is also said to be offering lucrative contracts and posts to tempt MLAs of the opposition parties.
It is said that the defections are a strategy of the TDP to divert public attention from the spate of scams that hit the ruling party besides a total failure in administration. The number of defections and the rate at which they are taking place has left even members of the TDP in a state of shock.
The latest defection of YSRCP MLA P David Raju (Yerrakondapalem constituency) on Sunday proves that the TDP is desperately trying to engineer defections by tempting MLAs ahead of the Assembly session.
