TDP Playing Dramas, YS Jagan Fighting A Lone Battle For Special Status: IYR

Former Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Former Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao, who had lambasted Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his government in the past, is yet again in the news. This time he said that the Centre has decided not to allocate funds to Andhra Pradesh due to the corruption and extravagant spending by the government machinery.

Speaking to media persons in Hyderabad on Monday, the former bureaucrat said that it was Chandrababu Naidu who stopped fighting for special status. "Only the opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is actively fighting for special status," he remarked.

The TDP leaders are enacting dramas as the Centre did not take any further decision over delimitation of Assembly constituencies in the Telugu states. He wondered as to why the TDP MPs are celebrating after keeping mum in the parliament sessions.

He further alleged that the state government is spending all the funds that were allocated by the Centre on the new capital region Amaravati.

Stating that North Andhra and Rayalaseema regions are the most backward in the state, IYR Krishna Rao suggested that funds be spent as per the allocations made.
