TDP MLA, five others arrested

The Karimnagar two town police on Thursday arrested TDP MLA Vijayaramana Rao on the charges of attacking Transco SE office during their protest against the Government's proposal to increase the power tariff.

The police also arrested five other agitators on the same charges. According to police, the case has been registered against them under various sections of the IPC.

The MLA and others have been remanded to judicial custody till January 22, by a local court in Karimnagar today. Talking to reporters, Vijayaramana alleged that the ruling party was taking revenge against him.
