TDP Leaders ‘Goondagiri’ On RTA Officials

TDP MP Kesineni Nani - Sakshi Post

Vijayawada: Leaders of the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) gave a demonstration of their 'goondagiri' here on Saturday when they barged into the office of the Road Transport Authority (RTA) office and used foul language against the commissioner and deputy commissioner of transport.

Securitymen of the RTA commissioner stood their ground in protecting the commissioner during the entire episode on Saturday at the RTA office.

Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani arrived at the RTA office and began abusing the officials stating they were irresponsible and corrupt. He was accompanied by MLA Bonda Uma, MLC Buddha Venkkanna and Police Housing Corporation chairman Nagul Meera. The MP alleged that commissioner Balasubramanyam and his officials were given illegal permits to private transport officials and making money. "Their actions are causing crores of losses to the Road Transport Corporation (RTC)," Nani said. His statements followed a flow of abusive language by the TDP leaders against the RTA officials. At one point MLA Bonda Uma also pushed the gunman of the commissioner.

Later, commissioner Balasubramanyam who himself is an IPS officer, was forced to apologise to the MP Kesineni Nani.
