Mothkupalli’s Remarks Catch TDP Leadership Off-Guard
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh TDP leaders were caught off-guard when Senior TDP leader Mothkupalli Narsimhulu demanded that AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu should visit Hyderabad to pay tributes to Telugu Desam founder and legendary politician NT Rama Rao.
Narsimhulu's sensational remarks assumed significance on the occasion of the death anniversary of NTR on Thursday. He asked Chandrababu Naidu to rush to Hyderabad keeping all his work and protocol aside.
Speaking to media persons, Mothkupalli said that the Telangana TDP is on the verge of extinction. No leader is willing to accept the idea of TDP's alliance with the BJP. He further said that it is better to merge the party with the ruling TRS as the TDP cadre is disintegrating in Telangana. Even Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was a TDP man during the initial days of his political career, he recalled. That was the only way to salvage the fortunes of the TDP in Telangana, he said.
