TDP Jittery Over YS Jagan’s Maha Dharna At Vizag
With just two days to go for YSRCP's Maha Dharna against the infamous land grab spree by ruling party leaders, the ruling TDP is turning increasingly jittery. It is trying all the tricks in the trade to redeem its prestige, which has been badly hit by the spate of land grab cases.
Cops want venue shifted
On Wednesday, the police in Vizag have asked the YSRCP to shift the venue to another place claiming that the Maha Dharna could cause a traffic jam. However, YSRCP leaders, led by MP Vijaysai Reddy, asked the police as to why is a change of venue being sought, when the administration had already given its permission to hold the dharna. YSRCP categorically said that the dharna would be held at the same venue.
Ayyanna takes a 360 degree turn
In another development, the TDP is trying to salvage the situation. On Wednesday, the party leadership made Minister Ayyanna Patrudu agree to address a press conference to support the Government's SIT probe into the land scam. Ayyanna had raised the issue and pointed an accusing finger at his colleague Ganta Srinivasa Rao.
