TDP in jitters on Jagan deeksha

TDP is in jitters with the two-day Farmers’ Deeksha of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy drawing closer as it has no answers to the pointed questions to be raised on behalf of farmers, women groups, pensioners and other affected sections, YSR Congress has said.

“TDP government has not fulfilled any of its election promises and has been trying to scale down the list of beneficiaries drastically. Chandrababu Naidu is responsible for the plight of famers as the rural economy is shattered by the un-kept promises.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will raise the voice of millions of affected people who will be attending the two day deeksha from Itchchapuram to Tada and the four districts of Rayalaseema,” party leader Tammineni Sitaram told reporters here on Thursday.

The farmers’ lives have been disrupted with the loan waiver scheme going awry, other sections are badly hit with pensions and ration cards being slashed heavily and welfare schemes not getting adequate allocations in the budget. YSR Congress will stand by all the affected sections and question the State on its failures, he said.

He slammed CRDA Commissioner Srikant for his remarks on farmers and said, “This was the same person who has turned Kakarapalli and Sompet into a warzone and took the side of persons who were against the interests of the farmers.”
