TDP Government Intimidating Kapus

Botsa Satyanarayana  - Sakshi Post

The YSRCP has said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has been misusing official machinery and has been unleashing a reign of terror with heavy police presence in the backdrop of Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham’s padayatra.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, party leader Botsa Satyanaryana said the heavy presence of police shows that the state is very vindictive and wants to spread terror with a posse of police from Kakinada to Amaravathi. The Kapu leader’s proposed padayatra is in protest against the failure of Chandrababu Naidu’s failure to keep up his promise of reservations to the community and now the state is foisting false cases against the community and supporters of Mudragada Padmanabham, he said

The Kapu Commission is of no use to the community and police harassing the Kapu community with bind-over and other measures is condemnable, he said. "We express solidarity with the Kapu leader’s padayatra scheduled to be held from July 26. The state has been creating hurdles at every step of the padayatra on the pretext that YSR Congress is behind the padayatra.

"We are supporting the Kapu cause and express solidarity with the padayatra. It is the just demand of reservations that the community is asking and this was an assurance given by Chandrababu Naidu during elections. Social organisations will question if the promises are not kept and in a democracy it is a natural process," he said.

Chandrababu Naidu should shun terrorising the people, those of East Godavari district in particular, with the threat of foisting cases, he said and demanded that all the election promises made by the TDP be fulfilled.
