TDP gets more brazen in Nellore, warns officials for booking cases

In a show of brazenness the TDP on Friday threatened the authorities in Nellore for booking cases against its leaders and activists.

Party politburo member and former minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy on Friday warned the officials that his party would teach a lesson to them if they ignored the TDP leaders. "The officials of the revenue and excise departments have been ignoring us. They are booking cases against the ruling party leaders," he said.

“We had protested peacefully during the recent municipal elections, Mayoral and ZP chief election of Nellore.

Venkatagiri MLA did not abuse the district collector on the day when the ZP chief was to be elected.. He only removed the mike there. How can a case be booked against him?” asked the former minister.

He asked the authorities the reason for not filing a case against additional joint collector who had violated the election rules in the election of municipal corporation.

“If the case against Venkatagiri MLA is not lifted, we would request CBI and CBCID to probe against the officials on their behavior,” warned the former minister.
