‘TDP Bribed Cong To Split Votes In Nandyal’
Nandyal: The ruling TDP is hatching a conspiracy to split the votes of those opposing its policies in the ensuing Nandyal byelection, said YSRCP general secretary Bhumana Karunakar Reddy on Monday.
Speaking to media persons here in the town as part of the election campaigning, Bhumana alleged that AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has given Rs 10 crore to Congress candidate Abdul Khadar to split the minority votes.
Bhumana said that the Congress, which had once sent YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to jail, is now colluding with the TDP to defeat the YSRCP. Now, the Congress is launching a propaganda against YS Jagan. He said any vote that goes to the Congress is as good as going down the drain, he added.
Every section of people — Dalits, Kapus, minorities, DWCRA women, students, farmers - have all been betrayed by Chandrababu Naidu, he said. With a view to making his son Nara Lokesh a wealthiest politician in the country, Chandrababu is resorting to corrupt practices.
