TDP,BJP MLAs spar over jurisdiction

Jurisdictional differences have led to wordy duel between Rajahmundry (urban) MLA Akula Satyanarayana and Rajahmundry (Rural) MLA Gorantla Butchaih Choudhary.

Interestingly, both the MLAs belong to BJP and TDP respectively and both are partners in the AP government.

The BJP MLA objected to the TDP MLA inaugurating a sand ramp in his constituency. When Akula raised objections, Butchaih too wanted the the BJP MLA not to enter into his constituency. Even the BJP and TDP activists present there joined the issue.

Some women activists of the BJP objected to Choudary's presence at the inauguration of the sand ramp. Butchaiah, who is a senior politician and a five-time MLA, has wide contacts in Rajahmundry. But, protocol issues have repeatedly dragged him into controversies as BJP workers are objecting to his presence in their constituency.
