Former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy visited the families of the seven devotees who lost their lives in the Simhachalam Temple wall collapse incident during the Chandana Yatra festival. He blamed the Chandrababu Naidu government for negligence, stating that the authorities hastily constructed a low-quality wall and recklessly allowed devotees to queue up nearby, resulting in the tragic loss of lives. Jagan criticized the TDP government's 11-month rule, citing several incidents of negligence, including the Tirupati stampede, deaths of cows in Tirumala goshalas, death of turtles at Srikurmam temple, demolition of Kasinayana temple, and now the Simhachalam temple tragedy.
