Tata Bets Big on Telangana: To Establish Cancer Hospital, Fuselages Manufacturing Unit
Hyderabad: In what could termed as eventful day in drawing new investments into the state of Telangana, we had two major launches here today. Tata Memorial Trust has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government to set-up a modern and robust cancer hospital in Telangana.
On the other hand Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited, a joint venture of Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems, has opened its facility in Hyderabad. The 14,000 square meter facility will employ 350 skilled workers. The unit was opened by Union Defence minister Nirmala Sitaraman and Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons, Ratan Tata.
The facility will be the sole global producer of fuselages for AH-64 Apache helicopter delivered by Boeing to its global customers including the US Army. The unit will going forward aims to develop the full-fledged helicopter.
Telangana state top health officials signed a MoU with Tata Memorial Trust in the presence of Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development KT Rama Rao, Health Minister Dr C Laxma Reddy and Chairman of Tata Trust, Ratan Tata.
