Maverick director Sekhar Kammula is likely to pull off another love-story hit this season as his new flick — Fidaa received an overwhelming response from fans the moment its teaser was released on Saturday.

The movie might put an end to his string of flop movies at the box office with the recent flicks — 'Life Is Beautiful' and 'Anamika' failed to impress audience. Sekhar Kammula began work on Fidaa project after dropping his plans to remake "Happy Days" in Hindi. He happened to narrate the story to Varun Tej and then roped in Sai Pallavi, who had risen to fame as Malar in Premam movie in 2015. The teaser, which was released on Saturday, received a rousing response from the viewers on social media as heroine Sai Pallavi is seen venting her ire at the hero in Telangana slang.

Sekhar Kammula attempts to narrate a riveting story of an innocent girl from Bhanswada in Nizamabad district and the boy, Varun Tej, who arrives in India from the USA. Given the hype and euphoria after the teaser's release, the movie should give a much-needed break to director Sekhar and Mega scion Varun Tej who are craving for success. After the movie "Kanche", Varun Tej did not taste success in film projects.
