Tamil Actress Fumes At Suchileaks Over Character Assasination
Mumbai: Nine months after 'Suchileaks' stirred up a row by uploading intimate pictures of south Indian actors on social media, Tamil actress Anuya Bhagvath has lodged a complaint with the cyber police of Bhandra Kurla Complex (BKC) to investigate the matter.
Anuya, in her written application, sought the police to remove the nude, objectionable and morphed photographs of her that are still being circulated on Twitter which had led to character assassination.
It may be recalled that Chennai-based Singer Suchitra Karthik had uploaded intimate pics of various actors including Dhanush on her Twitter handle.
Recently, Suchitra had also posted a nude of video of the actress Nivetha Pethuraj. The video created ripples on social media platforms. It was reported that the woman in the video is a look-alike of Nivetha. It is yet to be known how and who leaked the video as there was official statement from either Suchitra or Nivetha.
Earlier, Suchitra posted a series of tweets attacking South superstar Dhanush. However, her husband, actor Karthik Kumar, claimed that her Twitter account was hacked.
Meanwhile, the BKC police asked Tamil actress Bhagvath as to why she was filing a complaint now. She told the police that she had tried fixing the problem initially but she could not. Finally, she sought help of a lawyer who asked her to file the application.
The police is forwarding the application to seek Twitter's help to remove the pictures.
