Take Steps to Prevent Heat Wave Deaths: HC Directs TS, AP

Hyderabad: The High Court on Monday directed the Telangana and Andhra states to prepare action plans to prevent deaths during heat wave conditions.

Dealing with a writ petition, a Division Bench of Hyderabad High Court comprising Acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice P. Naveen Rao gave the direction to the states. Meanwhile, the Telangana government said it had issued orders for providing shelters, drinking water, ORS sachets in public places. The government also said that labourers are not being permitted to work between 12 noon and 3 p.m.
