T Govt effects massive hike in Naxal violence compensation - Sakshi Post

In a significant development, the Telangana government has effected a huge hike in the compensation given to the police and the civilians killed in Naxal violence. According to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the compensation for the home guard has been hiked to Rs 30 lakh and for the head-constable and the sub-inspector level Rs 45 lakh would be given. 

The kin of the killed inspector, DSP and ASP level officers would get Rs 50 lakh and the IPS officers would be given Rs 1 crore towards ex-gratia. The other government officials would be given compensation commensurate with their designation. The civilians would be given Rs 25 lakh towards the compensation, according to the Chief Minister.
