'T' bandh evokes mixed response in state

After a Sunday filled with massive protests, violence, agitation, the bandh called by the Telangana JAC students evoked mixed response in the capital city where the bio-diversity meet is in progress. Fortunately, the city remained peaceful and there were no untoward incidents have been reported so far.

The RTC restricted the bus services plying between Hyderabad and other Telangana districts. The buses coming from other districts to the city also were stopped. More or less the city remained unperturbed with people going about their business normally.

However,other districts — Adilabad, Karimnagar, Medak, mahbubnagar, Khammam — did experience the bandh effects. Educational institutions, shopkeepers voluntarily shutdown to show their support.
