SYRINGE PSYCHO IN COPS’ CUSTODY?

Has the psychopath, who has been attacking individuals with syringe needle, been arrested? Sources said one Ravikumar, who is working with a Travels Company, was arrested. Reports also speak of one person being arrested in Sivadevuni Chikkala village in Palacole mandal of West Godavari. Some needles were reportedly recovered from him.

West Godavari district superintendent of police Bhaskar Bhushan said most cases reported after August 26 were fake.

So far 11 cases of attacking women have been registered in various police stations of the district. The psycho is attacking women with an 'injection'. The person allegedly injected some unknown substance into the victims and escaped from the spot, in the incidents that have come to light so far, police said. Some of the victims later rushed to hospital. They were discharged after being treated for the needle prick.

All efforts are on to nab the person who has created panic in the district for the last one week and over 40 special teams have been formed to nab him. A needle left behind by the accused during an attack was recovered and sent for testing. However, no medicine or substance was found in it. The police had even nnounced a reward of Rs one lakh for anyone who could help the police in nabbing the culprit.
