Suspicious Death of A Married Woman in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: A 19-year-old newly-married woman allegedly committed suicide after a quarrel with her husband here on Saturday night. The incident came to light yesterday evening when the parents of the girl complained against her husband of having killed her.

According to the police, Sandhya from LB Puram village near Visakahapatnam got married to Raju, an employee of Vizag Steel Plant, four months ago. They were living in a rented flat in Gajuwaka. On Saturday, the couple argued over a family issue. After the argument, Raju left the house and came back in the night. On return he found Sandhya had hanged herself to a ceiling fan. He immediately rushed her to a hospital. However, the doctors recommended to Raju to shift her to KGH in the city. By the time Sandhya reached the hospital, the staff declared her brought dead.

The body was taken to her native village. Noticing scars and broken hand of Sandhya, her parents and family members attacked Raju. A case has been registered against Raju and investigation is on.
