Surjewala calls on Shatrughan, says no political significance - Sakshi Post

New Delhi: Calling it a social call without any political significance, the Congress party’s chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala met the BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha at his residence on Monday.

I have deep regards for Shatrughan Sinhaji. Every personal relationship can't be viewed from political prism. Hope media friends understand, the chief spokesperson of the opposition party said in a tweet.

The meet however does raise eyebrows in light of Mr.Sinha's growing differences with the BJP leadership and his staying away from the election campaigning so far.

He had earlier tweeted his disappointment saying he was upset with the news that BJP could have done better in the first two phases of Bihar assembly polls.

The actor-turned-politician continued his tweets on Monday and advised the party leaders to shun approaching issues on the ground like 5-start press meets.

BJP workers need and deserve respect and we need to reach out to voters with humility...This is the need at the ground level, he said in another message on the micro-blogging site.
