Suicides in Narayana College continue

The spate of suicides in Narayana group of institutions is continuing unabated.

In the latest such incident, Vemula Vishnu (27), a warden of Narayana Residential College in Attapur in the city committed suicide late on Saturday night. However, his body was discovered hanging from the ceiling of his room only on Sunday morning by staff members.

While police claim that the reason for the suicide is a failed love affair, based on his Facebook updates, the staff of the institution claim work pressure from the management as the reason.

Interestingly, on receipt of the suicide the regular staff of the institute did not report to duty and staff from the group's other branch filled-in. Also, the principal of the institute did not report for duty since the suicide.

The body has been shifted to Osmania hospital for post-mortem and an investigation is on.
