Students Suspended For Writing Love Songs On Exam Sheet

The 10 students are debarred from enrolling in regular course - Sakshi Post

West Bengal: The examiners were shell-shocked after finding examination sheets filled with 'love songs'. You heard it right, the bizzare thing took place at Balurghat Law College in north Bengal district of Malda. The 10 students who couldn’t fathom what to do, filled their respective pages with old Hindi and Bengali songs about their failed love.

They wrote nonsense and even abusive language to kill time in the hall. They should have a clear idea what is legal and what is illegal. Vandalising an institution is also illegal

However, the management took a stern action on the students by suspending them for two years. Among those suspended is a girl student too. Meanwhile, the vice chancellor of Gour Bhanga University said, "It is clear from the answer sheets that the students didn’t have the foggiest idea of the answers. They wrote nonsense and even abusive language to kill time in the hall. They should have a clear idea what is legal and what is illegal. Vandalising an institution is also illegal."

Interestingly, out of 72 students who appeared for the fourth semester exam last year, only one passed the exam; results of which were declared in January this year.

The 10 students are debarred from enrolling in regular course and can only take admissions in correspondence courses
