Student jumps off auto to escape rape bid

A polytechnic student was injured on Saturday when she jumped from a running auto suspecting foul play of the driver.
The shocking incident took place at Parchuru in Prakasam district this morning. According to police, the student boarded the auto to reach her college.
However, she was forced to jump out of it when the driver and his friend tried to molest her. The student, who suffered critical injuries is being treated at a hospital in the vicinity. Police have launched a hunt for the auto driver.
