Stormy start for Telangana Assembly session

Hyderabad: The Telangana Assembly which began on Tuesday had a tense beginning with Majlis (MIM) party cheif Akbaruddin Owaisi stating that there must be a discussion on the encounter of Vikaruddin.However, the Speaker Madhusunana Chary denied permission and stated that the issue of farmers' suicide is far more important.

When Owaisi refused to listen to the Speaker and insisted on a debate on the said issue, the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao stepped in and said that farmers issues was of for more important and added that a discussion on Vikaruddin will be taken up after farmer suicide issue.

TRS minister Harish Rao also said that farmers issues should be discussed. Following which Owaisi relented and the House began with a discussion on farmers' suicide.
