'Stop criticizing Election Commission'

“Election commission is a constitutional body. It is not proper for anybody to level unsubstantiated allegations against it,” said members of election watch organization.

The members met state chief electoral officer Bhanwar Lal on Friday.

Speaking after the meeting, they said, “Bhanwar Lal is a sincere officer. He doesn't yield to any kind of political pressure. The allegations are being leveled only because the election commission did not play to anyone's tune.”

They commented that some leaders are making allegations on the election commission with a fear of defeat only. “The elections are conducted this time in a peaceful manner. They were much better organised than they were last time. We congratulate Bhanwar Lal and other officials for this feat,” said the members.
