Stones, chappal thrown at TG Venkatesh’s car - Sakshi Post

State Irrigation Minister T G Venkatesh had a bitter experience in Kurnool when the Samaikyandhra activists hurled ‘chappals' and stones at his convoy resenting his participation in a private programme on Sunday.

The slipper fell well short of TG Venkatesh who had gone to inaugurate a private hospital at the statue of Krishnadevaraya.

The protestors stood in front of the car in which the minister was travelling and did not allow it to move.

Surrounding his car, the mob shouted Samaikyandhra slogans and demanded his resignation.

The police managed to escort the minister to his home amidst tight security.
