State temples to close due to lunar eclipse - Sakshi Post

All the temples in the State would be closed owing to lunar eclipse occurring at 8 pm on Thursday. A partial lunar eclipse, the first one in the year will be highly visible in Africa, Asia, Europe and Australia. 

Srivari temple of Lord Balaji in Tirumala will remain closed from 5 pm on Thursday to 3 am on Friday. Dharma darshan has been cancelled from 1.30 pm till 9 am on Friday, the TTD announced. Temple would be opened for pilgrims after ‘Samprokshana’ (cleansing of temple).

Similarly, temples of Srisailam, Simhachalam, Kanakadurga temple in Vijayawada, Srikalahasti and Sriramachandra Swamy temple in Bhadrachalam would also be closed during the lunar eclipse.
