State ministers slam union ministers' inaction over Telangana - Sakshi Post

For over a hour and half now, a crucial meeting was on at the Prakasham Hall of AP Bhavan in Delhi. Several Seemandhra leaders, including four union ministers attended the meeting.

Union ministers Chiranjeevi, J.D. Seelam, Pallam Raju, Kavuri Sambasiva Rao and state ministers TG Venkatesh, Erasu Prtap Reddy, Silajanath, Anam Ram Narayan Reddy, Kasu Krishna Reddy, Vatti Vasanth Kumar, Parthasarathy were among those present at the meeting..

It is learnt that the discussion centered around the endless resignations of MLAs of different parties. The leaders are also mulling strategies to mount pressure on the Congress High Command to keep the state united.

Sources say state ministers were fuming at Union ministers holding them responsible for the recent turn of events. The state ministers believe that if the union ministers had done their job this situation wouldn't arise. One of the ministers is believed to have asked the union ministers what they were doing till now.

When the issue of resignations was discussed, most leaders were of the view that resignations would help achieve their goal while others felt that acting against the party could backfire.

All the Seemandhra leaders are of the view that the Telangana process must be stopped at least temporarily.

Earlier in the day, Seemandhra ministers called on Kiran Kumar Redy and requested him to convey to the Congress High Command their strong opposition to the state's division.
