State facing administrative uncertainty: CPM
Andhra Pradesh unit of CPI-M has demanded immediate sacking of tainted Ministers in the State's Congress Government.
B V Raghavulu, State Secretary of CPI-M, criticised the Kiran Reddy Government for failing to take action against half a dozen Ministers, who are facing allegations of corruption and impropriety.
He sought to know why the State Government was dithering over taking action against tainted Ministers when two Union Ministers were forced to resign in the wake of corruption-related controversies linked to them.
Raghavulu lashed out at the AP Government's inability in dealing with important public issues and said the State was facing administrative uncertainty and inefficiency.
The Government is weakening the Legislature by convening only special sessions instead of regular ones and damaging the spirit of Parliamentary democracy, he said.
The Reddy administration is dragging its feet on conducting local body elections to avoid imminent defeat of the ruling Congress in these polls, the CPM leader claimed.
Raghavulu said the Government has been reduced to a minority after the second no-confidence vote in March. He asked main Opposition TDP to think of forging a coalition of like-minded parties in the State, where Assembly election is due in mid-2014.
