Star-struck Fan Bequeaths Property To Sanjay Dutt

Mumbai: Sanjay Dutt, like most stars, has a huge fan following. But one of his fans took her craze for the actor to extraordinary lengths when she bequeathed her property to him. Nishi Harishchandra Tripathi (62), who passed away on January 15, owing to an illness, left her property to the actor she adored the most.

Nishi drew up a will to this effect, clearly mentioning Sanjay Dutt's Pali Hill address, a few months ago. Thus the star-struck fan probably wanted to make sure that the actor got her property. Nishi's family members got a rude shock when they were informed by bank officials about the will she left behind. However, to their relief, the actor proved to be a hero in real life, as well and politely declined the offer of his deceased fan. His lawyer stated that Sanjay Dutt has issued clear instructions that her property, assets, savings etc., should be rightfully given to members of her family.

Sanjay Dutt is reported to have said that some fans name their children after their favourite stars, others chase their vehicles or stalk them, and yet others, try to give them some gift. However, the actor said that a fan bequeathing her entire property to a star was a first, even in his long career.
