Star Comedian Amassed Rs320 Crore?

Hyderabad: Star comedian of Tollywood industry Brahmanandam hogged the headlines after news broke out in vernacular and national media that he had amassed wealth to the tune of Rs320 crores.

The senior comedian has been ruling the comedy genre in Tollywood single-handed garnering fandom for the last 30 years. There have been times when the top directors and heroes insisted to rope in Brahmanandam for the popularity and charm he has in their films.

Cashing in on the opportunity, this senior comedian had demanded high remunerations for his roles in the movies from the top directors. Subsequently, a rumor is doing rounds in the Tollywood circles that he amassed more Rs 320 crore, a said a source in the film circle.

Luxury cars, majestic bangla, agriculture lands worth crores of rupees are in the name of Brahmanandam among several other properties in the city. The 61-year-old comedian, who has lost form of late, has not appeared in any of the recently-released Telugu movies. He is learnt to have kept himself away from acting, according to a source close to him.
