SRK Makes Deepika Cry: Here’s Why

Deepika Padukone who looks steely on the outside, is actually a very soft and sensitive person at heart as she revealed when she broke down in the first episode of Shah Rukh Khan's Baatein with Baadshah. What triggered her teary response on the new chat show was a touching letter from her mother Ujjala Padukone to her.

Deepika became all teary-eyed when she listened to a congratulatory message her mother sent, which made SRK rise chivalrously to the occasion to wipe her tears. A short video clip of the incident has gone viral. Her mother's message praises her strength of character, her kindness and integrity and how she battled depression and found against other odds. Shah Rukh Khan also played out a video message of Ranveer to Deepika in his typical style. Her Bajirao Mastani and Padmavati co-star does a characteristic dance to the tune of the famous Javed Akthar — RD Burman — singer Kumar Sanu number from 1942 A Love Story, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. His antiques and the song brought a smile to her face even as she blushed.

In the video, Ranveer says "Mandir mein ho ek jalta diya, Diya, yaani ke Deepika, yaani ke aap. Aapke baare mein kya kahun?
