Srividya Who Poisoned Husband Arrested In Guntur

Guntur: Srividya, who killed her husband with the help of her paramour, came out smiling after she was interrogated by the Guntur police. She was arrested by the police on Saturday on charges of killing her husband Narendra by giving him a cyanide-laced softdrink.

According to the police, Srividya was married to 27-year-old Nallabothu Narendra, a native of Punugupadu village in Nadendla mandal in the district, a few years ago. She got involved in an extra-marital affair with her paramour and decided to kill her husband to lead a happy life with her boyfriend.

On December 19, Srividya poisoned her husband by giving him a cyanide-laced cool drink. She then dumped the body at a canal near the Punugupadu village. However, Srividya went into hiding after the incident. Following a complaint from Narendra's parents, the police registered a case and swung into action.

The police arrested Gottipati Veeraiah Choudhary, Ganji Balaraju, Poojala Chaudayya who were involved in the case. At last, the police caught up with the accused and arrested Srividya on Saturday. When she was presented before the media personnel in Guntur, Srividya made her appearance with a smiling face showing no signs of remorse.
