Sri Chaitanya College Student Immolates Self In Hostel
Hyderabad: Nadikuda Satvika (16), an Intermediate first year student at Sri Chaitanya Junior College, immolated herself at her college hostel in Miyapur on Tuesday.
Satvika, an MPC student and was staying in the residential campus. She was looking depressed since she returned to college after Dusserah holidays.

Satwika was engulfed in flames and suffered third-degree burns and died on the spot. No suicide note was found and we are yet to ascertain what kind of liquid she used to torch herself. We have informed her parents and are waiting for her mother to reach city
At 1pm Satvika had a telephonic conversation with her mother and told that she didn't want to stay in hostel. Later she went to her room and few students spotted smoke billowing out of her room. They alerted the staff rushed to rescue her.

Balala Hakkula Sangham blamed college management saying that students are ending lives due the pressure and then they attributed the death to love affairs.
A sample has been sent to Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for examination.
The deceased was a daughter of Santosh Reddy and Latha of Armoor in Nizamabad district and her father is a farmer.
Meanwhile, Balala Hakkula Sangham blamed college management saying that students are ending lives due the pressure and then they attributed the death to love affairs. They demanded action against the institution and a probe into the incident.
A case under section 174 (suspicious death) of the Criminal Procedure Code has been registered and her body has been sent for post-mortem.
