Spurned youth attacks girl, her father kills the boy

A spurned youth, who tried to kill a girl, met a gory end when the girl’s father hacked him to death in Kukatpally area on Friday morning.

The critically injured girl is being treated in a hospital.

According to the police, 67-year-old Vallabh Rao heard the shrieks of his daughter in the wee hours of the day. He found that Raju alias Mallesh (25) was trying to hack his youngest daughter Neeraja Krishnaveni. Her brother Durga Gangadhar and mother Tulasamma tried to save the daughter. Seeing this, Vallabha Rao rushed into save his daughter. But, Raju attacked him too. Vallabh Rao snatched away the sickle carried by Raju and hacked him to death.

Raju and Neeraja worked in the same shopping complex and for the past one year, he has been asking her to marry him. Vallabh Rao, who came to know of this, had even warned Raju in the past. However, on Friday night, Raju sneaked into the house at attacked Neeraja.

Doctors treating Neeraja said her condition is critical. The body of Raju has been sent for post-mortem.
