India Vs Pakistan Match Weather Conditions: Old Trafford Manchester Weather Forecast
London: The big day for the India vs Pakistan match is here and rain is again playing the spoilsport at the Old Trafford in Manchester on Sunday. It is predicted that there would be scattered showers throughout the day.
Latest, it is bright and sunny now with temperature at 18 degree Celsius in Manchester and the forecast has predicted 70 per cent rain.
Early weather forecast shows that continuous rains, which however, had stopped at 7 AM (IST) in the morning. It is expected that the toss for the India Pakistan match could take early.
The skies could clear at around 7 in the evening after continuous downpour. If the outfield allows and super soppers can dry the wet patches, we can witness a shortened match, but the start of the match and toss could be delayed due to the wet fields.
Many a matches have been delayed due to the rains in the ICC Cricket World Cup and the cricket body has been criticised. The ICC has said that factoring on reserve days would make the World Cup 2019 a "logistical nightmare".
Former Indian Skipper has criticised the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for its "lack of preparation" and called it "totally unacceptable".
ICC Chief Executive David Richardson in a statement said that the weather is extremely unseasonal.
"This is extremely unseasonal weather. In the last couple of days, we have experienced more than twice the average monthly rainfall for June which is usually the third driest month in the UK. In 2018, there was just 2 mm of rain in June but the last 24 hours alone has seen around 100 mm rainfall in the south-east of England," Richardson said.
