Spicejet Makes Emergency Landing At Gannavaram Airport

As many as 75 passengers in a Hyderabad-bound Spicejet plane had to spend anxious moments as the plane developed technical glitches soon after take off from Vijayawada on Monday.

According to the officials, the engine developed technical defects after a half-hour of takeoff. The pilot, who recognised the issue, contacted the ATC and wanted to re-land at Vijaywada's Gannavaram airport. The plane hovered in the sky for over 45 minutes, before landing safely at Gannavaram airport.

The passengers heaved a sight of relief after the flight landed safely. Further investigations are on.
