Sore throat forces Modi to cut short speech
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has been suffering from a sore throat, could barely speak for nine minutes at an election rally held in Maharashtra's Brahmapuri.
Modi made a night halt in Nagpur and flew in an IAF helicopter to Brahmapuri in Maharashtra's Chandrapur district. He said everything was alright till last night, but he developed a sore throat on Friday morning. The 64-year-old leader apologised to the huge crowd of BJP workers for not being able to speak with full vigour and for a longer time. He promised that he would come back here after the elections are over.
Local MPs Hansraj Ahir and Ashok Nete, and MLAs and party candidates from nine constituencies of Chandrapur and Gadchiroli districts were present.
