Sooraj Pancholi Charged For Abetting Jiah Khan Suicide

Mumbai: Sooraj Pancholi has been charged for abetting the suicide of his girlfriend and actor Jiah Khan in 2013. The sessions court on Tuesday has levied charges on him and the trial of this case is likely to start from next month.

The Mumbai police and CBI, which took over the case, had clearly mentioned in their reports that only the case of abetment of suicide could be booked on Sooraj. Earlier Jiah Khan's mother, Rabia Khan, had filed a case against him saying the he had murdered her daughter and it was not a suicide.

Sooraj was arrested on June 10, 2013 after Jiah Khan had committed suicide on June 3, 2013, later he was granted bail.
