Soon ambulances to repair Hyderabad roads

In a move to address the pothole woes on the city thoroughfares, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (PMC) has come up with the idea of operating ambulances similar to that of 108 services in order to repair roads.

GHMC commissioner B.Janardhan Reddy said, “Like the 108 medical service, the GHMC is planning to take up a project under which the road ambulances will be dispatched to carry out road repairs when a complaint is received.”

However, it is believed it would take some time to implement the new project. In an earlier attempt, GHMC wanted to initiate a project called ‘road doctors’ however, the idea did not take off.
